I am a 15-year-old student in junior Grade 3. Though I am occupied with my study, I would like to spend time on my hobbies, such as playing the piano, surfing the Internet.
One of my favorite hobbies is reading. Reading has been in my life for many years, since I began to learn characters. It can not only kill the time, but also, more important, help me improve my comprehension ability. When reading, I can learn a lot. Reading Shakespeare's works, I know how Hamlet looks like. Reading Socrates, I can see how great ancient Greek philosophers are. Reading Lu Xun, I come back to the old time of China.

I like reading books very much, because there are lots of interesting things in them.
Two years ago, I didn't like reading very much. I had plenty of time, but I spent lots of time on playing with computers. When I was very young, I didn't think reading book was interesting, because I found nothing more interesting than the computer games.
I've changed now. I enjoy reading novels, because there're lots of interesting stories. I love to read Harry Potter. That's a good novel. I know that it is one of the best-sellers in England. I'm always lose myself in the interesting stories.
I hate the words like "to be continued" in a novel. That makes me very sad, because I don't know the end of the story. I also hate the words like "the end", because I want to read more. Some of my friends think that I'm strange.
Maybe you can find the interesting things in a book, so don't waste your time in the computers any more. If you read very much, you抣l get lots of knowledge.

My hobby is fishing. I am fond of going fishing, for it is both interesting and iastructive-It tempers my willpower. Last Sunday I went fishing with my friend, He Ping.We started at daybreak. After three hours＇ cycling, we arrived at the outskirts of Hefei and came to a stream. The water is clear and clean. One can see fish swimming. The meadow sprinkled with buttercups slopes to the stream. It is a good place for fishing.
In a few minutes everything was ready. Putting the bait of earthworms on the hook, dropping the hue into the strum, we sat there fishing with rod in hand. An hour passed. I did not catch a single fish. I lifted the fishing rod time and again. Time and again I was disappointed. There was no fish on the hook. On the other side of the stream, He Ping had caught several fish, one of which was very big.
"How comes it that you catch fish casily while it is so difficult for me?" I asked.
"it＇s easy. Only you need Io be patient." He Ping answered. "Make sure that you lift the fishing rod when the whole flat has sunk. I＇m sure a fish will greet you on the hook."
After a while the floats were swinging. I kept my breath and waked. The floats became still again. "Come on my hook, dear fish." I was saying to myself. In a moment the floats swang again and then sank abruptly, Just at that moment I lifted my fishing rod. To my delight I caught a fish. Grlnning, I took it off the hook.
This gave me a great revelation(啟示):Stamina(毅力) is what we need to achieve success. And it is more important to young people who usually lack it.
我的業(yè)余愛(ài)好是釣魚(yú)。它不僅有趣，且有意義——它磨煉我的意志。
上星期天，我和朋友何平去釣魚(yú)。黎明時(shí)動(dòng)身，騎了3小時(shí)自行車(chē)后，來(lái)到達(dá)合肥郊區(qū)的一條小溪邊。溪水又清又凈，能看見(jiàn)魚(yú)在水里游。撤滿草茛的草地傾斜著伸向小漠。那是個(gè)釣魚(yú)的好地方。
幾分鐘后，一切準(zhǔn)備就緒。把釣餌魚(yú)蟲(chóng)放在鉤上，并將直線垂入溪中，手握釣竿等在那兒垂釣。1小時(shí)過(guò)去了，我一條魚(yú)也沒(méi)釣著，不時(shí)地提起釣竿，一次又一次地失望，無(wú)魚(yú)上鉤。而溪對(duì)面何平已釣了好幾條魚(yú)，其中還有1條是大魚(yú)呢。
“怎么你釣魚(yú)那么容易，而對(duì)我卻那么難?”我問(wèn)道。
“這并不難。只是需要耐心�！焙纹酱鸬溃骸耙欢ㄒ雀∽尤料潞笤倥e起釣竿，魚(yú)就在鉤上歡迎你了�！�
過(guò)了一會(huì)兒，浮子在晃動(dòng)。我屏住氣在等待，浮子又不動(dòng)了。“親愛(ài)的魚(yú)兒，快上鉤�！蔽易匝宰哉Z(yǔ)。一會(huì)兒，浮子又動(dòng)了，接著突然下沉。正在此時(shí)，我舉起了釣芊。我喜出望外地釣到了一條魚(yú)，笑咪咪地把魚(yú)取下了鉤。
這件事給了我極大的.啟示：成功需要毅力。過(guò)對(duì)缺乏毅力的年輕人更為重要。
