在過(guò)去的幾周里,我在努力的和星吧閣的多數(shù)學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)們進(jìn)行交談。大家交流中不斷提及的話題之一,就是在家中創(chuàng)造英文環(huán)境的問(wèn)題。如今我們都聽(tīng)說(shuō)過(guò)一些方法,比如觀看英文電影、聽(tīng)英文歌曲等,但說(shuō)起另一方法——用英文和他們的孩子對(duì)話,絕大多數(shù)的中國(guó)家長(zhǎng)都不敢嘗試。主要原因,就是擔(dān)心他們這樣做會(huì)在某種程度上對(duì)孩子的外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)造成不良的影響。家長(zhǎng)們的擔(dān)心包括:
● 怕孩子會(huì)“感染”上他們可怕的口音
● 害怕自己混淆語(yǔ)法,或用錯(cuò)詞語(yǔ)

我想和大家解釋一下,為什么我認(rèn)為這類(lèi)問(wèn)題是可以克服的,以及為什么我認(rèn)為在家里和孩子講英語(yǔ),是家長(zhǎng)在幫助孩子學(xué)英語(yǔ)的經(jīng)歷中能為他們做的最有益的事情。

您在擔(dān)心自己教給孩子不地道的口音、混淆語(yǔ)法、或者詞匯量不夠的問(wèn)題嗎?其實(shí),讓孩子置身于這種語(yǔ)言環(huán)境之中,以及從能夠流利講這種語(yǔ)言的人那里得到反饋,遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)要比讓他實(shí)現(xiàn)完美的發(fā)音更為重要。不過(guò),如果您的孩子學(xué)習(xí)英文達(dá)到一定的時(shí)間,他們最終將會(huì)琢磨出正確的發(fā)音。

立意不鮮明
經(jīng)常看見(jiàn)孩子邊寫(xiě)邊數(shù)“一、二、三……”湊字?jǐn)?shù)現(xiàn)象普遍,或者經(jīng)常問(wèn)老師:“寫(xiě)不出來(lái),我能瞎編嗎?”有些孩子極度缺乏生活常識(shí)或生活經(jīng)歷、也沒(méi)經(jīng)典閱讀文學(xué)的滋養(yǎng),造成“下筆無(wú)言”,或者寫(xiě)的東西單純?yōu)榱烁愎、好玩,沒(méi)有實(shí)質(zhì)性內(nèi)容。
建議家長(zhǎng)增加孩子的生活閱歷和原版閱讀,從而先做到“有語(yǔ)意、有觀點(diǎn)、有情緒”。
結(jié)構(gòu)不完整
小學(xué)生作文容易結(jié)構(gòu)缺失,常見(jiàn)寫(xiě)著寫(xiě)著,突然結(jié)束沒(méi)有結(jié)尾;或者沒(méi)有開(kāi)頭,讓讀者莫名其妙…… 小學(xué)生作文通常邏輯混亂,思維跳躍,東一句、西一句,內(nèi)容不關(guān)聯(lián)。
建議先訓(xùn)練“框架式寫(xiě)作”,利用一些連接詞理清思路,如:First of all, For a start, In addition… 進(jìn)而做出取舍,突出閃光點(diǎn)。對(duì)內(nèi)容進(jìn)行取舍非常很有必要性的,避免文章冗長(zhǎng)、論據(jù)雷同、突出文章的重點(diǎn)。建議訓(xùn)練孩子加強(qiáng)整篇概念:Introduction, Body, Conclusion, 即中文所說(shuō)的“總~分~總”,確保文章的完整性。
中式思維
小學(xué)生作文表達(dá)中式思維過(guò)重:學(xué)生中文思維能力遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出其英文表達(dá)能力,所以出現(xiàn)錯(cuò)句、斷句等現(xiàn)象。不少孩子寫(xiě)作文竟然變成了“中文翻英文”的'過(guò)程,腦子里面構(gòu)思的是中文作文,千方百計(jì)把它翻譯成英文而已。
建議要培養(yǎng)孩子長(zhǎng)期原版閱讀習(xí)慣,積累詞匯和形成英文思維,從而縮短當(dāng)中轉(zhuǎn)換環(huán)節(jié)。

For most senior students in universities, the last academic year has nothing to do with academics. To the frustration of professors, few courses are attended by students. And dorms are almost vacant with few lodgers. This kind of phenomenon, which has been called “Senior Empty Nests”, is common among universities of China.
Where have those absent senior students gone? Some lucky dogs have gone to their new jobs while the majority are still striving to get a job or engaging in their internship outside of the campus. The severe employment pressure has pushed senior students into employment market earlier. The anxiety of getting a job before graduation disturbs the restless mind of every student, which leads to skipping school of most students.
In my view, with senior students leaving campus earlier, their time of education has been reduced, which puts them in a disadvantaged position in the employment market. Students should start job hunting after finishing the courses of the last academic year. At the same time, the universities should provide career education for senior students.
