The newspapers reported next day that all 110 passengers aboard, including some Americans and Japanese, were killed; there was no survivor. The number of death is the largest of all air mishaps in Taiwan. This disaster should prompt us to reexamine our air travel safety measures. I think we have the right to ask the airline company to adhere strictly to standard aircraft maintenance. Unless an aircraft is properly maintained, there will be no safety to speak of.
