　　There is a heated debate over the role of lectures and discussions in the classroom. Some people believe that lectures can help students learn more quickly. In contrast, others hold that discussions can stimulate students to learn by themselves.

　　Those who hold the first opinion suggest that students attend more lectures. In their view, by giving lectures teachers help students master the knowledge they've accumulated over years of study and research. However, others think that in a discussion, the teacher usually guides the students instead of dominating them. They argue that to get involved in a discussion, students have to develop their ability to analyze problems independently.

　　In my opinion, I stand on the side of neither idea. First of all, either method has its disadvantages. Furthermore, each student has his or her preference. Thirdly, lectures are preferable to discussions in the teaching of science subjects, and on the contrary, discussions are preferable to lectures in studying the humanities. Therefore, we should adopt different teaching methods according to different subjects.

　　今天天氣晴朗，萬里無云。一大早，我和媽媽、小姨，由姨夫開車來到山東旅游勝地天下第一泉——濟南趵突泉公園。

　　趵突泉公園位于濟南市市中心，這是以泉水為主的文化名園。公園門前擠滿了來參觀的游人，我們快步走進公園大門，.首先看到的是一大片五顏六色的花，紅的、粉的、白的、紫的……真是五彩繽紛，賞心悅目。

　　我們首先來到了漱玉泉，泉水清澈見底，在黃金般的沙子里，不斷涌出如水晶般晶瑩透亮的水珠。水里能清晰看見綠綠的水藻，偶爾游來幾條小魚，它們像一群可愛的孩子在水藻中鉆來鉆去，像在玩捉迷藏的游戲。

　　接著，我們分別游覽了金泉、馬跑泉、無憂泉等20多處名泉。

　　最后，我們來到了泉群之首趵突泉。這里泉池最大，水最清澈，大泉眼的.水不知疲倦地不斷向上冒，就像開鍋的沸水，小泉冒出的水泡又似串串珍珠，真是美不勝收。

　　趵突泉公園不僅泉美，而且有眾多名勝古跡。最值得觀賞的要屬古代有名的女大詩人李清照紀(jì)念堂了。我們透過玻璃柜，可以看見李清照當(dāng)年的許多著名詩詞以及人們最熟悉的古詩全選，真是讓我大開眼界。我還在李清照雕像前照了相，留做紀(jì)念。

　　隨后，我們又分別參觀了濼源堂、娥英祠、觀瀾亭、來鶴橋、蓬山舊跡坊、尚志紀(jì)念堂。公園里的每一處景點都是那么秀美、古樸典雅。

　　Reading novels used to be a mainstream enjoyment in the past. However people got more interests in watching movies than reading novels after the movie came into our life. Then people diverge in the question: which is the better enjoyment? For me, reading stories is more joyful and I will give my reasons in the following.

　　在過去讀小說通常是人們的一項主要娛樂活動。然而，當(dāng)電影進入人們的生活之后，大家對看電影的興趣比讀小說的興趣多。哪種方式的娛樂活動更好？對這個問題人們各自有不同的答案。對于我來說，閱讀小說更具趣味，下面是我給出的原因。

　　Firstly, I can get more information about the story and the characters in the novels. But a movie needs to display the story in the limited period of time, usually about two hours. Therefore the director have to adopt the important part of the story and abandon the rest parts, but these trivial plots draw more interests from the readers.

　　首先，我能夠得到更多關(guān)于小說和小說里的人物的信息。但是電影只能在有限的時間里述說故事，通常是兩個小時。因此導(dǎo)演不得不選取小說的重要情節(jié)并放棄其余的部分，但是這些不重要的情節(jié)也許更受讀者喜愛。

　　The second reason is that I can get more enjoyment from reading novels, especially the procedure of turning the plots into varied images in my brain. That is a real fantastic experience. Although by watching the movies I can get the concrete pictures and amazing sounds, it is different from my ideas and it makes me a little disappointed. Because the movies shows the directors' thoughts and versions about the novels, which do not satisfied me in the whole. Besides, some directors may do some changes and even destroy the real stories, I think.

　　第二個原因則是我能夠獲得更多的.趣味，特別是在將故事情節(jié)在腦中轉(zhuǎn)化成不同想象畫面的時候。這是十分奇妙的經(jīng)驗。盡管通過看電影我可以看到具體的圖像和美妙的音樂，但是這些圖像跟我想像的圖像不同，還有點讓我失望。因為電影只是從導(dǎo)演的角度展現(xiàn)他對小說的想法，這些想法各個方面都不太讓我滿意。此外，我認(rèn)為有些導(dǎo)演會對原著做些改變甚至是毀掉原著。

　　To sum up, I prefer to reading a novel to watching a movie because I can get more joy, more interested plots, and more fantasy experience from reading novels than watching movies.

　　總之，比起看電影我更青睞閱讀小說，因為讀原著可以獲得更多趣味和更有意思的情節(jié)，還有就是比起看電影讀小說更加有趣的體驗。
