I used to be fond of skating.but now things have changed because of a horrible experience.
one winter,the weather was so cold that water turned into ice.one day on my way home,when seeing a frozen lake,i thought that the ice must be thick enough to support me.being so interested in skating,i couldn't help going down and sliding on the ice.suddenly,i heard a sound of crack.looking down,i saw the crack on the ice surface.i was frightened out of my life and didn't dare to move.but nobody could help me.i had to move toward the bank carefully.
as soon as i got onto the bank,the ice broke.how horrible it was!even ifit has been a long time since then,i can still feel the fear.and i no longer like skating since then.

I was very interested in your advertisement in today's edition of The Evening Post and I should like to apply to be a member of the Amazon Expedition team.
I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.
I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an expedition.

據(jù)說，英語這門科目已經(jīng)被逐出高考科目了，還有人說，沒多久，數(shù)學(xué)也將要逐出高考科目。這件事無不對大家，特別是高考的同學(xué)，都十分高興。可是在這之前，大家不要忘了，還有小升初，中考，這兩個(gè)“攔路虎”。這年頭，最讓家長頭疼的就是這三件事了：小升初，中考，高考。我就是其中受害者之一啊……不過我跟中考和高考還差的遠(yuǎn)，我即將要面對的是小升初！迫在眉睫啊！

For my birthday Mum bought me a model plane which was so beautiful that I played with it every day. Seeing such a lovely plane Lihua my best friend couldn’t help asking for it. However he couldn’t handle it and the plane got out of his control falling onto the ground and breaking into pieces. Seeing my plane broken I felt so angry that I beat him. Tears in his eyes he ran away saying nothing.
From then on We didn’t play together even avoided meeting each other. But after a few days I felt extremely unhappy without his company. Finally I couldn’t bear it any more and went to Lihua and asked him to forgive me. Only then did I realize the importance of forgiving.
Forgiving others’ faults actually brings happiness to yourself.
