　　1998 National English Summer Camp for Middle School Students

　　As a lucky student， I attended the 1998 NESCMSS held in the beautiful seaside city of Yantai from July 25 to 30， which was sponsored by the English Coaching Paper Office。 Over 100 students all over the country and 30 English teaching experts from home and abroad took part in the activity。 All the campers were required to speak English。 During the four days， a series of English activities were held including the Second National English Debate for Middle School Students and the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students。 We also visited some places of interest。 A colourful English evening was held on July 29。 The camp provided us with a valuable opportunity to speak English， make friends and exchange learning experience。 I found my English much improved at the end of the camp。 Never in my life shall I forget the impressive days in Yantai。

　　“I come，I see！Shake English，Shake the would”伴著響亮的口號，我們期盼一久的英語節(jié)來臨啦！

　　教老師學(xué)英語、單詞運(yùn)動會、走出迷宮、等等新穎有趣的項(xiàng)目對于大膽聰明的我們都是小菜一碟，我們毫不費(fèi)工夫把英語水平發(fā)揮得淋漓盡致，但是，唯獨(dú)跳蚤市場讓我們背上了一個沉重的大包袱。跳蚤市場獲得的'金額拿回本金，其它的要捐給困難兒童，這次活動也是考驗(yàn)一個團(tuán)隊(duì)的能力、智慧以及是經(jīng)濟(jì)頭腦。

　　首先，我們湊足了義賣小組人數(shù)，再把店名、口號、崗位一一定下，緊接著又是計(jì)劃書、服裝、宣傳等等瑣事，最最重要且麻煩的問題就是：貨源！我們知道必須在一個星期內(nèi)準(zhǔn)備好充足的貨源，這個貨源并不是想定就可以定的，要考慮好不好賣、賣不好怎么處理、本金會不會太昂貴等等，于是，在周末時就發(fā)動了小組內(nèi)的“精英”去各大商場尋貨源。

　　琳瑯滿目的物品弄得我這個總策劃不知從何下手，反復(fù)與組員們探討，慎重考慮后決定以舊物為大目標(biāo)，把一些零七八碎的小東西作為小方向，其實(shí)也不是很慎重，就像是圓桌會議一般，舉手平等表決，認(rèn)為舊物最不費(fèi)本金，且大家的舊物大半部分都是半新的，或是根本就舍不得用的小玩意兒。

　　確定了方向，我們就趕緊分配任務(wù)，發(fā)動了全班一齊捐贈舊物。功夫不負(fù)有心人，團(tuán)結(jié)就是力量，短短兩天已經(jīng)收獲了一箱的舊物，與其說是舊物，還不如說是沒用過幾遍的東西呢！

　　計(jì)劃書、貨源、宣傳一切都被我們?nèi)瞬艥?jì)濟(jì)“Whisper·囈語”小組搞定啦！我們期待著在星期五的義賣活動。

　　該來的總是要來的，懷揣著激動緊張的心情開始了義賣倒計(jì)時：“3、2、1！”熱鬧的義賣市場紅紅烈烈地來開了帷幕……

　　I prefer my English classes to be taught in English only. As we all know, a good learning environment is vital if we want to study English well. Classes taught in English provide students with such an environment. When English is the only language used in the classroom, students will have more opportunities to practise listening and speaking. Therefore, we will be able to learn more quickly.

　　However, there are also some problems with this teaching method. As we haven’t mastered enough English words, sometimes we may find it difficult to follow the teacher. Slow learners may even lose interest in English.

　　Practice makes perfect. To learn English well requires a lot of practice. So, I like my English classes to be taught completely in English.

　　無論做什么事，興趣最重要，如果沒有興趣，就會事倍功半。學(xué)英語也一樣，有興趣才會學(xué)得好。媽媽帶我到了卓越英語，先讓我試讀一下，看看有沒有興趣。上課了，一位年輕的老師走進(jìn)教室，先讓我們聽一首叫《丑小鴨》的英語歌，一邊播放音樂，一邊表演，挺有意思的。老師教的內(nèi)容其實(shí)就是歌里唱的內(nèi)容。我目不轉(zhuǎn)睛地盯著老師的一舉一動，兩節(jié)課學(xué)得很專心，也很有興趣。于是，媽媽幫我報(bào)了名，我便成了卓越英語的一員。

　　我被編入B31班，學(xué)習(xí)《英語語音過關(guān)》。教我們這一班的是曾老師，國字臉，鼻梁上架著一副近視眼鏡。他總讓我們在快樂中學(xué)習(xí)知識，我們都很喜歡他。同時，我還認(rèn)識了兩類同學(xué)，一類是吵吵鬧鬧、愛開小差的搗蛋鬼，另一類是安安靜靜、用心學(xué)習(xí)的好學(xué)生。在卓越英語，每個同學(xué)都有自己的英文名字，我的英文名字叫Tony（托尼），可大家都叫我“掏泥”。

　　在卓越英語，我學(xué)得很努力，老師一教我就懂，字寫得也不錯，老師經(jīng)�？湮摇５矣浶圆淮蠛�，有時候舉起手來想發(fā)言，卻不知道說什么。我想，這是基礎(chǔ)不扎實(shí)的緣故，還得多下功夫。
