In recent years, credit cards have gained more popularity among college students。 With banks more focus on college market, an increasing number of college students have applied for a credit card and begun to consume by it。
The following three factors can account for the popularity of credit cards in college。 Firstly, a credit card provides overdrawing service, which is a big attraction for those students who have no much money for their domination。 Secondly, a credit card can help release financial burdens on those poor students, and hence reduce the risk of their dropping school for lacking money。 Besides, many banks make some preferential policies on credit cards, like sending a gift, lowering year cost。 Drawn by these policies, many college students apply for credit cards。
it’s only natural to look forward to something better. we do it all our lives. things may never really improve, but at least we always hope they will. it is one of life’s great ironies that the longer we live, the less there is to look forward to. retirement longer we live, the less there is to look forward to. retirement may bring with it the fulfillment of lifetime’s dreams.at last there will be time to do all the things we never had time for. from then on, the dream fades. unless circumstances are eceptional, the prospect of growing really old is horrifying. who wants to live long enough to become a doddering wreck? who wants to revert to that most dreaded of all human conditions, a second childhood?
well, it seems that everybody wants to. the biblical span of three score years and ten is simply not enough. medical science is doing all it can to etend human life and is succeeding brilliantly. living conditions are so much better, so many diseases can either be prevented or cured that life epectation has increased enormously. no one would deny that this is a good thing—provided one enjoys perfect health. but is it a good thing to etend human suffering, to prolong life, not in order to give joy and happiness, but to give pain and sorrow? take an etreme eample. take the acse of a man who is so senile he has lost all his faculties. he is in hospital in an unconscious state with little chance of coming round, but he is kept alive by artificial means for an indefinite period. everyone, his friends, relatives and even the doctors agree that death will bring release. indeed, the patient himself would agree-if he were in a position to give voice to his feelings. yet everything is done to perpetuate what has become a meaningless eistence.the question of euthanasia raises serious moral issues, since it implies that active measures will be taken to terminate human life. and this is an eceedingly dangerous principle to allow. but might it not be possible to compromise? with regard to senility, it might be preferable to let nature take its course when death will relieve suffering. after all, this would be doing no more than was done in the past, before medical science made it possible to interfere with the course of nature.
there are people in afghanisan and russia who are reputed to live to a ripe old age. these eceptionally robust individuals are just getting into their stride at 70. cases have been reported of men over 120 getting married and having children. some of these people are said to be over 150 years old. under such eceptional conditions, who wouldn’t want to go on living forever? but in our societies, to be 70, usually means that you are old; to be 90, often means that you are decrepit. the instinct for self-preservation is the strongest we possess. we cling dearly to life while we have it and enjoy it. but there always comes a time when we’d be better off dead.
Last night, I watched an interesting movie. It is called Intern, which are played by the famous beautiful girl Anny Hathaway and an old but skilled man. The story tells about a retired man finds his own place again by being an intern in garment company. The old man helps his boss who is acted by Anny come back her family life again. Though the man is aged, his is really young in mind. He keeps studying the constant news and learn the newest technology. Unlike the people who are in the same age and have no idea about the Internet, this old man is full of passion and he lives the wonderful life. So age is not the excuse to stop moving on, it is never too old to learn. Everyone can choose the life they live, no matter how old they are.
"Shanzhai" first became a name for fakes after Shanzhai cell phones' popularity in the market. Now it has been given a broader meaning of fake, unprofessional or homemade, and a slang for anything that steals ideas or styles from already well-known stuff. Some believe that "Shanzhai" has become a culture of its own and it represents non-mainstream ideas and innovations. However, from my point of view, it's not a healthy culture but piracy.
"Shanzhai" comes from copying and plagiarizing and often infringes on intellectual property rights. For example, imitated electronics, including cell phones, MP3s and even laptops, are the most common "shanzhai" products. Despite the possible infringement of IP rights, they are much liked by many people as a good way to spend less. However, consumers' interests should not be at the expense of legitimate IP right holders. IP right laws are there to protect the interests of patent, copyright and trademark holders for a limited period of time. They are devised not only to reward innovators, but also to encourage further creativity. If illegal "shanzhai" is not held accountable, society is rewarding copycats while punishing innovators. The result could be disastrous. Everyone will choose to copy others. The market will be flooded with the same kind of poorly-designed and badly-made products that have short lives and lack after-sale services.
From the above discussion, we can see clearly that "shanzhai" culture is not a healthy one. It violates IP rights and undermines market competition order under the disguise of grassroots culture.
I live in a rural area. As in most rural areas, this area has plenty of fresh air and luxuriant vegetation. What makes me even happier is the neighbors I have, all of them simple and honest folks. I don't think I can find the like of them in a city. In general, city dwellers, except in their own small circles of acquaintances, see each other as total strangers, and it is not unusual to find people living in the same apartment house brush past each other without showing any sign of recognition, not so much as a nodding of the head. Neighbors are usually compared to our close friends and as such they should help each other if help is sought. My neighbors are all farmers, who are rich, not in material possessions, but in hospitality, and their honesty to help are legendary. For reasons quite obvious, it is important to get along well with our neighbors and avoid quarreling with them over trivialities. I am a good neighbor to my neighbors, and so are they to me.

The shape of star. There are four members in my family. They are my father, my mother, my brother and I. My parents work hard. They are very tired and I think they should have a good sleep. So the bedroom is the best place. My younger brother is only six years old. I love him even though he troubles me some times. In my bedroom, there are lots of posters of Angela on the wall. Angela is my favourite super star. She is beautiful. There is a garden in the district. You can go walking there. I also want to tell you about my dream home. It is near a sea. It’s made of wood. Maybe that will come true
I live in a flat in a building. The building is very modern. There are about ten floors and I live on the top floor. I think my flat is very wonderful. The dining room is next to the kitchen. We always have dinner there, and my mother often cooks some delicious food for us. I can’t cook, but I often help Mum wash the dishes. Sometimes my friends come to my flat and they teach me how to cook. So now, I can cook something for my family. I like the sofa in my sitting room. It is very comfortable and it is purple. What a nice colour! The bathroom with a bath and a shower has a mirror.

April 12 is memorable because our class had a meaningful experience on that day. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburbs to plant trees, talking and laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediately. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planting young trees. Others were watering . After getting the work done, we put up a board reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving we took some photos to record our green action. Seeing the lines of trees, we all had a sense of achievement. We feel it’s our duty to protect and beautify our environment.

How to Take Advantage of Reference Books
Nowadays, various kinds of reference books for college students have come into existence. And many students gain so much that they soon find themselves totally relying on these books.
It should be admitted that reference books have brought great convenience to students. And conversely, over瞨eliance on these books has also caused negative effects. Firstly, students who have got reference books are more likely to believe all the contents in the books and neglect teachers instructions.
Secondly, with reference books, many students tend to be absent from class and become lazy to think about how to solve problems on their own. Last but not least, there are so many different kinds of reference books that a great number of low quality ones are also among them, which will lead to students confusion.
As a college student, I agree that reference books are of great use in our pursuit of knowledge. However, it is not sensible to rely on them too much. After all, reference books will never replace what we are able to obtain from teachers and classes.
