　　What is success? Different people hold views on This question. Some think that one is successful if he can make a great deal of money. Others argue that success means holding an important government post. Still others believe that whoever has got high academic title is successful. It is clear that there are quite different opinions on success.

　　In order to become successful, you should first of all be both perseverant and hardworking. As you know, whatever you do, there are always two possible results: success and failure. When you fail, you should never lose heart. On the contrary, you must build up your confidence and work even harder. You should always keep in mind that perseverance is the mother of success and industry is the key to it. In addition, you should pay great attention to your work method. It is necessary for you to sum up your experience constantly and improve the efficiency of your work. Finally, it is important for you to get along well with your co-workers, care for each other and help each other. If you follow these principles, you will certainly achieve remarkable success in the future.

　　In my opinion, success means achieving brilliant results in one’s work, that is, making outstanding contributions to the development of the country and bringing happiness to the people. 　　I,myself,a shy person by nature who easily suffers from stage fright,had to get up my courage to take part in this speech contest like this.I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not coming here.Buti chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. Now here iam.I will try my best because i know i would broaden my horizon and make a lot of friends here.

From ancient times till now, we can see that all successful people possess some qualities that other people lack. They have these important qualities which can lead to their success, such as strong sense of responsibility, great ambitions and good psychological diathesis. But as far as I am concerned, the most essential qualities on should have to achieve success are confidence, diligence and to have rational mind.

　　Confidence is thought to be the premise of being success. Because when we get enough confidence, we could have the motive power and energy to do what we want to do. Moreover, confidence could provide us a positive attitude and make us firmly believe we have the ability to realize our dreams. So I think confidence is an indispensible element in the way to achieve success.

　　It is known to us that the most important step to be successful is to work hard. If you are not diligent, or do not put what you plan or design into practice, no matter how confident and smart you are, you will never be successful. Being lazy or just being a talker is never going to work in the way of achieving success. Not until we make our great efforts to work can we see the gate leading to success.

　　Another important quality one should possess if he or she wants to be successful is to have rational mind. We all know that emotional reasoning is the most terrible obstacle which may mislead us to make wrong judgment and decision. So when we meet some problems or deal with some issues, we have to analyze by our rational wisdom instead of impulse and emotional reasoning.

　　All in all, if people want to achieve success, the most essential qualities they need to equip themselves with are confidence, diligence and the ability to analyze issues rationally.

　　How to achieve success is an old topic, but it's still attractive up to now. Some people think success is just making much money and living admirable lives some prefer to believe success lies in approving and respect of others, and some also consider realizing their goals as success. As for me, my understanding tends the second. Maybe it's just emphases how to achieve success. To begin with, you need to make it clear what you want to do and your success is. For example, Jobs wants to change world to make our lives more convenient, and eventually he did!
