　　Last year, my father bought a lovely pet for me. She has four white paws and a white and yellow tail. She has two small ears, two green eyes and eight whiskers on her face. Her name is Sally and she is one year old.

　　Do you know what it is? A cat? Yes, it is a cat. She has very short fur and she is quite small. She weighs about 2 kilograms. She is usually very friendly and quiet. We never frighten her or pull her tail or ears. She likes walking around me and playing with me.

　　If she is hungry, she will miaow. Usually, she eats food from a tin, but her favorite food is fish. She likes juice if it is not too cold. She likes to chase and catch mice and sometimes she plays with butterflies. Sally often plays with balls and pieces of string. She does not like dogs and she hates the rain. She likes sitting on the sofa and watching TV.

As far as I concerned, I incline to the idea that students should pass all the courses they take so that they can not only get a bachelor’s degree but also can learn more.

　　大學(xué)生是否應(yīng)該通過所有課程一直是一個(gè)有爭議的問題。有些人認(rèn)為，大學(xué)生們有責(zé)任去完成他們的課程以確保他們在大學(xué)學(xué)到了東西，而另一些人則認(rèn)為學(xué)生應(yīng)該權(quán)利選擇自己喜歡的課程而不是接受他們安排的所有課程。就我而言，我認(rèn)為學(xué)生應(yīng)該通過他們所學(xué)的所有課程，這樣他們就不僅僅是只得到了學(xué)士學(xué)位，也可以學(xué)到更多。

　　On one hand, passing each course is the necessity to get a bachelor’s degree. Almost all universities urge students to pass all their courses so that they can finally get a bachelor’s degree. If not, students won’t get a certificate which means years of study for a degree go in vain. Nowadays, a bachelor’s degree is the guarantee to a good job. Therefore, most students fight for a degree which means they should try their best to past all the courses arranged for them.

　　一方面，通過每個(gè)是獲得學(xué)士學(xué)位的必要條件。幾乎所有的大學(xué)都要求學(xué)生通過他們的課程，這樣才能獲得學(xué)士學(xué)位。如果沒通過，學(xué)生就不會得到證書也就意味著幾年的學(xué)習(xí)就白費(fèi)了。如今，學(xué)士學(xué)位是獲得一份好工作的保證。因此，大多數(shù)學(xué)生都會為了學(xué)位而奮斗，這就意味著他們要努力通過所有安排給他們的'課程。

　　On the other hand, our society needs versatile people implies that students should take more courses to learn more so that they could be accepted by high-leveled position, although some of the courses are not their majors. To be high qualified, students should master knowledge they learned from their courses and pass them at the same time. Although passing the exam does not mean students have mastered what they learn, if not passing them, it’s certain that they don’t do well in their study. Moreover, failing in some exams may make people doubt that your learning ability is not so good. The employers may think twice before hiring you.

　　另一方面，我們社會需要多功能人才，意味著學(xué)生應(yīng)該接受更多的課程學(xué)習(xí)，這樣他們才可以得到高級別的職位，雖然有些課程并不是他們的專業(yè)。為了成為高素質(zhì)人才，學(xué)生們應(yīng)掌握他們從課程中學(xué)到的知識并同時(shí)通過他們。雖然通過考試并不意味著學(xué)生已經(jīng)掌握了他們所學(xué)的知識，但是如果沒及格，他們肯定是沒有學(xué)好。此外，在一些考試中不及格可能會使人懷疑你的學(xué)習(xí)能力不太好。雇主會雇用你之前會三思。
